MY ÉGÉRIE, MY MUSE
When night falls, Égérie walks into the ballroom in a shimmering evening gown and leads the dance along a romantic melody. Sophistication in her each and every move, represents elements of a feminine shape: precision, excellence and beauty.
Égérie moon phase diamond-pavé waves the face of watchmaking femininity according to Vacheron Constantin, inspired by the famous nymph Egeria featured in Roman mythology. In fact, it is named after Egeria not only because of her association with springs or her role in maintaining harmony between divine and human, but also her creative enlightenment to. artists and designers, from renaissance to contemporary.
This new collection showcases a feminine sensibility in every way. The Manufacture’s finest gemsetters even add a masterful touch of Haute Couture to its look – a case in 37 mm 18K white gold sparkles with 292 diamonds, while a dial deploys the concentric circles amid a shower of 510 diamonds resembling a precious embroidery. Framed by diamonds, the arresting sight of the white gold star pursuing its majestic path beneath a translucent sapphire crystal naturally draws the gaze. Its exquisiteness is nevertheless the sapphire crystal case-back that reveals a 22K gold finely wrought openwork oscillating weight shaped like the Maltese cross of Vacheron Constantin.
It offers more than a pretty face with the in-house self-winding moon phase 1088 L movement, of which the generous 40-hour power reserve suits for memorable times. Two interchangeable night blue straps – in leather and satin – are individually secured by a gemset pin buckle.
“Shall we dance?” This is probably the first question that comes to our mind when we meet Égérie.
