This winter, Hong Kong’s festive atmosphere will be even stronger! The “Hong Kong Pulse Light Festival” organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board was officially unveiled in November 2018. Combining light, shadow, music and entertainment elements, the Viking Victoria Harbour Festival is the largest outdoor light and shadow festival in Hong Kong. Among them, the most eye-catching “International Light Art Display”, 18 creative lighting art works from all over the world and Hong Kong, unique in appearance, different in day and night, is a hot spot, and a collection of different interactive elements. Among them, the Central Waterfront has become an art and light paradise. For example, visitors can change the lighting arrangement of large devices by touching the keys, compose personal lighting and music works, and ride the rocking horse to interact with the lights.
Among the four pieces of light art works from the local area, the theme of Hong Kong’s colorful street features, including gambling signs, bamboo sheds and skyscrapers, is very local. One of the light art works is the French art installation “Magic Cube”. This new 25-meter-high Christmas tree is made up of light-emitting steel frames. At 20 minutes, a light and sound show is performed at night, becoming a winter landmark for citizens.
