Lunar New Year is the most important festival for this part of the world. Of course, a delicious New Year’s dinner can not be casual and must be spectacular. In the Year of the Pig, the Holiday Inn’s Golden Mile Chinese Restaurant has prepared a variety of Chinese New Year dishes for its guests, as well as a selection of New Year’s Eve snacks, symbolising the Pig’s great fortunes for the coming year ahead.

Special dishes include roasted pig’s knuckle, Deep-fried shrimp paste ball with vegetables, roasted crispy chicken, braised superior bird’s nest soup with diced seafood, roasted suckling pig stuffed with turmeric rice, baked half-shell boston lobster with herbs, braised dried seafood platter, pan-fried rice vermicelli with assorted seafood and eggs and double-boiled snow fungus with papaya, and sweetened walnut cream with glutinous dumpling.
- The “Loong Yuen Delight Seafood Promotion” has a variety of dishes prepared with the finest ingredients. Including braised abalone and goose in oyster sauce, braised abalone (6 heads) and asparagus in oyster sauce, braised sea cucumber with goose feet in oyster sauce, and braised fish and whole black mushroom in abalone sauce. Highly recommend is the braised abalone with assorted seafood served in a clay pot. In addition, Loong Yuen’s traditional hand-made snacks are also well known throughout Hong Kong. The New Year’s Eve snacks, which were launched on January 1st, such as baked whole abalone puff with assorted seafood, braised pork knuckles with peanuts in fermented red beancurd, braised seaweed and pig tongue, stir-fried turnip cake in X.O. sauce.
